GOLF TOURNAMENT

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

I. ELIGIBILITY

Members and spouses of Alabang Country Club in good standing as of tournament date and their guests may join this tournament. Dependents may join under the sponsors’ slots only. The tournament is an all-amateur tournament; hence, professionals will not be allowed to compete. A two-man team should be STRICTLY composed of a MEMBER or a SPOUSE (or a DEPENDENT if under the sponsors’ slots) paired with a GUEST. We will implement the one MC number, one participant rule.

II. RULES OF PLAY

Play shall be governed by

  1.  The rules of golf as laid down by the Royal and Ancient Rules Limited;
  2. The local rules as printed on the reverse of the official scorecards; and
  3. Tournament rules that are listed in this form; and announcements made before the tournament. Any question on rules must be brought to the attention of the Rules Committee whose decision is final

IV. HANDICAPPING

  1. Participants must have an established World Handicapping System (WHS) indices certified by National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP).
  2. All Participants’ handicap index as of December 31, 2024, shall be used for the tournament. If a player has more than one index, the lower index should be submitted. Those members who wish to join but have no Official Club Handicap may submit their lowest certified handicap index from other clubs. Participants without any eligible WHS index shall play to a zero handicap.
  3. The maximum allowed handicap for male guest is 18 at ACCI.
  4. The maximum allowed handicap for a female guest is 24 at ACCI.
  5. All participants handicaps will be adjusted based on blue tees.

V. ENTRY FEE

  1. Entry fee shall be Php 20,000 per team.
  2. One team is composed of a member and a guest (one team per active membership).
  3. Fees cover giveaways for each participant, green fees for guests, cocktails, lunch, dinner at the Awards Night and one practice round for the guest. Practice rounds are valid only on the designated dates before the tournament. Caddie fees are not included in the entry fee and will be required to be paid in cash per day directly to the caddie.

VII. Registration & Cancellation Schedules

  1. Online registration starts at 10am on Saturday, September 7, 2024 and closes at 5pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
  2. The deadline for cancellation is at 5pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

VIII. Guidelines

  1. Tournament reservation will be on a first come, first served basis.
  2. If the maximum slots are reached, the remaining registered player/s will be placed on waitlist.
  3. A participant may cancel his participation on or before 5pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024. An electronic notification to the Mango Tee Committee/Golf Director is required. Any form of verbal advice will not be accepted.
  4. If a participant cancels after 5pm on October 17, 2024, he/she will be charged 100% of the tournament fee and he/she shall NOT be entitled to any of the incentives given to a participant. He/she may not assign his/her slot. His/Her slot will be given to the person next in line on the waitlist.

IX. Hole in One

  1. All par 3’s will have multiple pins in different colors. Each color coded pin will have a corresponding hole on one prize.
  2. If there is more than one HIO winner in a specific pin on a hole, the prize will be divided equally among the winners. The HIO winners may discuss among themselves on how to divide the prize. If the winners cannot decide for themselves, the  committee will auction the prize and distribute the cash proceeds to the HIO winners.
  3. If a mulligan is used on a par 3 and results in a hole-in-one, the score will be recorded. However, the hole-in-one prize will not apply to a ball played as a mulligan.

X. Practice Round Guidelines

  1. Members can reserve tee times via SMS or Viber link.
  2. Tee times are blocked from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Members can book their preferred tee time up to one week in advance. However, if a member needs to cancel, they must do so at least two days in advance; otherwise, they will forfeit their booking privilege.
  3. Should there be any questions or a member who wishes to book during the blocked tee times, please contact the Golf Office at 8842 3530, local 157
  4. Each guest is entitled to one complimentary practice round.
  5. A Club Member should be in the same flight during a guest’s practice round.
  6. Guests may schedule their practice round on weekdays (Tuesday to Friday, excluding holidays).
  7. The practice play period is from November 19, 2024 to January 30, 2025.

XI. Caddie Fee

  1. A minimum of Php 1,000.00 per round and must be paid directly to the caddie immediately after the round.

XII. Scorecards

  1. Each team shall serve as the marker of the opposing team in the flight.
  2. Markers must observe the following in scoring each hole:
    1. Record only the gross score; or
    2. Place an “X” in case of a pick-up or player did not hole out.
  3. Only official scorecards shall be accepted and must be duly signed by both members of the opposing team.
  4. Scorecards must be submitted within 15 minutes after completing the round. Scorecards not submitted on time shall be voided and the team shall be disqualified for the day.

XIII. Pace of Play

  1. Participants must pick up his ball if his next stroke is for a net double bogey or zero points.
  2. Each round must be completed within 4 hours and 30 minutes.
  3. Marshals and rulesmen are empowered to penalize a participant for slow play under the following guidelines set by the Tournament Committee:
    1. 1st offense – warning; participant placed on the clock.
    2. 2nd offense – 2-point team penalty
    3. 3rd offense – disqualification for the day

XIV. Mulligans

  1. Mulligans are mandatory at Php 500 per playing day (2 per player), which can be used anywhere except on the putting green and not eligible for a Hole-in-One prize.
  2. Players must declare their intent to their opposing team before hitting a mulligan. All mulligan frees (Php 1,000 per player) must be paid during the registration prior to playing their first round.

XV. Classification

There will be four (4) divisions based on the Member’s handicap indices. The divisions shall be proportionately divided based on the number of teams. The divisions from highest to lowest grades are as follows:

  1. Platinum Division
  2. Gold Division
  3. Silver Division
  4. Bronze Division

XVI. Tee Makers

There will be only one tee maker per hole will be used for the entire tournament. Total average yardage for 10 holes will be around 6,400 yards.

XVII. Awards

  1. Overall Low Net Team Champion
  2. Overall Low Gross Team Champion
  3. Platinum Division Team Champion and Team Runner-Up
  4. Gold Division Team Champion and Team Runner-Up
  5. Silver Division Team Champion and Team Runner-Up
  6. Bronze Division Team Champion and Team Runner-Up

In case of ties shall be resolved as follows:

  1. Most points on the 2nd day of play
  2. Most points last 9 holes (10-18) on the 2nd day of play
  3. Most points last 6 holes (13-18) on the 2nd day of play
  4. Most points last 3 holes (16-18) on the 2nd day of play
  5. Countback on most points from the 18th hole of the 2nd day of play

XVIII. Restrictions

  1. Only playing participants and authorized personnel are allowed in the golf course and tee houses during the tournament.
  2. No spectators are allowed in the golf course without a written authorization from the Mango Tee Committee.
  3. Only participants are allowed during the Awards Night.

  4. Range Finders may be used to measure the distance only. Please turn off the slope/elevation mode. Players using the slope elevation mode will be disqualified from the tournament.
  5. Putters will be marked with an 18″ gimme putt makers.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change/amend the rules and all other matters related to the tournament. Its decision is final.
