ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Valley members with established Valley handicaps are eligible and will have priority to join the tournament.
  2. Priority slots as follows:
    1. PROPRIETARY MEMBERS, CORPORATE MEMBERS, ASSOCIATE MEMBERS, PLAYING RIGHTS MEMBERS AND LIFETIME MEMBERS
    2. SPOUSES AND DEPENDENTS BELOW 21 YEARS OLD
  3. Entries will be prioritized on a “first come, first served” basis as determined by the Registration Forms, which will be numbered as they are received.
  4. DEADLINE for Members to Sign-Up will be on Friday February 29, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. Members lose priority after the aforesaid deadline.
  5. Dependents will be accommodated only if there are slots still available. There will be a separate sign-up sheet for dependents.

REGISTRATION:

  1. Members must register, preferably in person, at the Registration Desk and can also download the entry form at the tee time website and send thru viber.
    1. Verbal Registration by phone will NOT be entertained.
    2. Unsigned Registration forms will NOT be accepted.
  2. Teams must indicate their preferred playing dates (Sets 1A to 4B) on the Registration Form.
  3. In case the team can no longer be accommodated on the playing dates they had chosen, set assignments will be made on a “first come, first served” basis (as determined by their registration numbers) and the order of preference indicated in the registration form.

SIZE OF FIELD:

  1. MAXIMUM OF 400 TEAMS/800 PLAYERS (Member-Guest & Sponsor)

ENTRY FEE:

Php 20,000 per team. This fee covers the giveaways for each participant, green fees of the guest, cocktails, dinner at the Awards Night, participation in the tournament raffle (Note: not the Grand Raffle), and two practice rounds for the guest (one for each course). Practice rounds are valid only during the dates before the tournament. Mulligan and caddy fees are not included in the entry fee and will be collected per day during registration.

Please note that there will be raffle prizes for the afternoon participants during the cocktails on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings on top of the tournament raffle prizes at the Awards Night. Physical presence shall be required for the minor prizes drawn during the cocktails. However, at the awards night on Sunday, physical presence shall not be required for the minor prizes, as these will be pre-drawn, and the results will be posted on specified bulletin boards to save time. However, physical presence shall still be required for the major raffle prizes in the tournament to be drawn during the Awards Night.

GRAND RAFFLE:

Each VGCCI member whether playing or not in the 23rd Don Celso Tuason and Valley Founders’ Cup (DCT) shall be assessed Php 5,000 for a Grand Raffle ticket. Each Grand Raffle ticket will be entitled to the Grand Raffle Prize of a Brand-New Audi Q3 and other major prizes. The Grand Raffle tickets will only be sold to VGCCI members and guests/participants in the 23rd DCT tournament. Members and 23rd DCT participants may
buy as many raffle tickets as they wish, as long as supply lasts. Physical presence shall not be required for the Grand Raffle prizes.

North Course – Aggregate
South Course – Best Ball

HANDICAPPING:

  1. Club members will use their February 15, 2024, WHS Index. Maximum handicap allowed for members for the tournament will be 36.
  2. Guests must submit their WHS handicap index for February 15, 2024 (in case of multiple handicaps, they must submit whichever is lower. They must have an index of 15.6 or lower (maximum handicap allowed for guests in the tournament will be 18). In case the guest has a higher index than 15.6, he/she will play to the maximum index allowed. If the guest has no WHS or certified handicap by a USGA/R&A accredited club, his/her handicap for the tournament shall be zero (0).
    1. It is the Valley member’s responsibility to submit his/her guest’s February 15, 2024, verifiable handicap index certifications. Handicaps must be certified by USGA/R&A accredited clubs using WHS handicap certifications.

SCORING:

  1. Regular Division
    Stableford Point System, NET OF HANDICAP. (Net double bogey = 0. Pickup)
    Maximum Points: Aggregate: 45 points per player (9 under)
  2. Sponsors Division
    System 36 Scoring System

PAIRINGS:

Absolutely no requests for flight mates will be accepted.

TEES:

Men — BLUE TEES
Ladies — RED TEES
Senior male players 55 years old and above, based on year of birth — WHITE TEES
Jungolf (boys)– below 12 years old – WHITE TEES

CLASSIFICATION:

  1. There will be five (5) regular divisions based on the members’ WHS handicap indices as follows:

    Division I: 0 – 3.9
    Division II: 4.0 – 8.9
    Division III: 9.0 – 13.9
    Division IV: 14.0 – 18.9
    Division V: 19 and above

  2. There will be a separate division for sponsors and their guests. If a sponsor or his partner is a member of VGCCI, they have the option to compete in the regular divisions.
  3. Two members, dependents, or a combination of both may NOT form a team in the Regular Division.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

Guests will be issued two (2) green fee coupons, one (1) for the South Course and one (1)
for the North Course, valid until Friday, March 15, 2024.

  1. SOUTH COURSE: Coupon may be used only on weekdays (except on holidays). Guests must be accompanied by a member per flight.
  2. NORTH COURSE:Coupon may be used anytime. Guests must be accompanied by a member per flight.
  3. Guests Note: Guests may opt to combine their South and North green fee coupons to be able to play the South Course on a weekend or holiday, provided they are accompanied by a member.

MULLIGAN:

MULLIGANS are mandatory at Php 600 per playing day. (1 at the front 9 and 1 at the back 9). Mulligans may be used anywhere except on the putting green. All players must declare their intent to their flight mates/competitors before using their mulligan.

CADDIE FEE:

The minimum Caddie Fee for the tournament is Php 800 per 18 Hole round.

NOTE: BOTH MULLIGAN AND CADDIE FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE ENTRY FEE AND MUST BE PAID UPON REGISTRATION ON EACH PLAYING DAY.

 Last Day for All WITHDRAWALS – After this date, your accounts will be charged the full tournament fee. The member will still receive the giveaways and his name will be included in the raffle. All withdrawals must be made in writing. All requests for withdrawal must be accomplished in duplicate with one copy going to the tournament committee and the other to the member (as proof of his/her backing out). Verbal requests for withdrawal will not be entertained. If the guest has played at least one (1) practice round, the member will be charged the full tournament fee.
 Dependents may be accommodated subject to availability of slots. There will be a separate sign-up sheet for dependents. Members lose their priority after the aforesaid deadline.

THE 23rd DCT CUP COMMITTEE WILL RESOLVE ALL DISPUTES IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME. PLEASE ALWAYS BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY RULE OR ADD RULES IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOURNAMENT.
