The tournament shall be known as the Asian Amateur Golf Tour: Road to Da Nang.
The Asian Amateur Golf Tour: Road to Da Nang is an amateur golf tournament series composed of five tournament legs to be played at the following golf clubs:
The final schedule, tee times, format details, and venue-specific instructions shall be announced by the Tournament Committee before each leg.
The Asian Amateur Golf Tour: Road to Da Nang is an amateur golf event intended for recreational and competitive amateur golfers.
The tournament shall not require any official handicap certification. Instead, each tournament leg shall use an “on-the-day” Peoria scoring system to determine net scores and player rankings for that leg.
The tournament shall be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A, together with these Terms of Competition, the Local Rules of the host golf club, and any additional rules or announcements issued by the Tournament Committee.
Each leg shall be played as an individual stroke-play event using Peoria scoring.
Each player shall submit a gross score for the round. After the round, the Peoria handicap shall be computed based on six mystery holes selected by the Tournament Committee. The resulting Peoria handicap shall be deducted from the player’s gross score to determine the player’s net score for that leg.
Players shall be ranked per leg based on their net scores, subject to the tie-breaking procedures stated in these Terms of Competition.
The Asian Amateur Golf Tour: Road to Da Nang shall use the Peoria system to provide an on-the-day handicap calculation.
The six mystery holes shall be drawn only after play has started or after completion of play, at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
The six mystery holes shall be drawn by personalities or representatives from the golf office of the host club for that particular tournament day.
For transparency, the drawing of the six mystery holes shall be video recorded with a visible or verifiable time stamp.
Unless otherwise announced by the Tournament Committee, the Peoria handicap shall be computed as follows:
Peoria Handicap = [(Total gross score on the six mystery holes × 3) – Course Par] × 80%
The player’s net score shall then be computed as follows:
Net Score = Gross Score – Peoria Handicap
The Tournament Committee may impose maximum score limits, rounding rules, or other technical scoring adjustments as may be necessary to ensure fairness, pace of play, and consistency across all tournament legs. Any such adjustment shall be announced before the start of the applicable leg.
Each player shall earn tournament points per leg based on his or her final ranking after Peoria scoring.
The tournament points for each player shall first be computed as Base Tournament Points, based on the total number of participants in that leg, with the 1st-ranked player earning points equal to the total number of participants.
For the Top 40 ranked players, the Base Tournament Points shall be computed as follows:
Base Tournament Points = Total Number of Participants – Player’s Rank + 1
Example, if there are 80 participants:
For players ranked 41st and below, their Base Tournament Points shall be one point less than the points earned by the 40th-ranked player.
Using the same example of 80 participants:
The Base Tournament Points shall then be multiplied by the applicable leg multiplier to determine the player’s final Tour Points for that leg.
The leg multipliers shall be as follows:
The final Tour Points for each leg shall be computed as follows:
Final Tour Points = Base Tournament Points × Leg Multiplier
Example, if there are 80 participants and a player finishes 1st place:
The leg multiplier is intended to give greater value to later tournament legs and encourage players to continue participating throughout the entire tour.
Unless otherwise announced by the Tournament Committee, decimal points resulting from the multiplier shall be retained and counted in the overall tour standings.
Only players who officially complete the round and submit a valid scorecard shall be eligible to earn Tour Points.
Players who are disqualified, withdraw without completing the round, fail to submit a valid scorecard, or otherwise fail to comply with tournament requirements shall receive zero Tour Points for that leg, unless otherwise determined by the Tournament Committee.
At the end of the five tournament legs, the tournament points earned by each player shall be accumulated.
The Top 4 players with the highest total accumulated tournament points after all five legs shall be declared the Asian Amateur Golf Tour: Road to Da Nang Overall Winners.
The Top 4 overall winners shall each receive a paid golf vacation package to Da Nang, Vietnam, excluding airfare.
The Da Nang golf vacation package may include golf-related arrangements, accommodation, ground transfers, meals, or other inclusions as may be determined and announced by the Tournament Committee. The final inclusions, travel dates, hotel category, golf course selection, number of golf rounds, and package terms shall be subject to the arrangements made by the Tournament Committee and its travel, golf, or sponsor partners.
Airfare, passport-related expenses, visa-related expenses if applicable, travel tax, terminal fees, personal expenses, additional meals, optional tours, excess baggage, travel insurance, and other expenses not expressly included in the package shall be for the account of the winning player.
A player does not need to win any single leg to become an overall tour winner. The overall winners shall be determined based on consistency and total accumulated points across the tournament series.
The prizes shall be awarded subject to the Rules of Amateur Status, applicable laws, sponsor conditions, travel availability, and any additional requirements issued by the Tournament Committee. If necessary to preserve amateur-status compliance or comply with applicable rules, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust, substitute, limit, or restructure the prize without affecting the final ranking of the winners.
In case of ties in a tournament leg, the Tournament Committee may apply the following tie-breaking procedure:
For the overall tour standings, ties shall be broken as follows:
The decision of the Tournament Committee on tie-breaking matters shall be final.
A ₱500 reservation fee shall be required to reserve a player’s slot for each tournament leg.
The reservation fee shall be refundable if the player cancels at least 15 calendar days prior to the tournament date.
If a player cancels less than 15 days before the tournament date, the reservation fee shall be forfeited, unless otherwise approved by the Tournament Committee.
The reservation fee may be applied as part of the player’s tournament-related fees, subject to the registration procedure announced for each leg.
A ₱1,350 tournament management fee shall be collected from each participating player per leg.
This fee shall help cover tournament management expenses, including the food or meal after the game.
Unless otherwise announced, the tournament management fee does not include green fee, cart fee, caddie fee, insurance, range balls, or other golf club charges.
All other expenses shall be for the account of the player.
These may include, but are not limited to:
The Tournament Committee may help coordinate discounted rates with the host golf club, but all such charges shall remain the responsibility of the individual player.
Each tournament venue requires a minimum of 80 players.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any tournament leg if the minimum number of players is not reached, or if circumstances make it impractical or unsafe to proceed.
In case of cancellation or rescheduling, the Tournament Committee shall announce the applicable refund, credit, or rebooking procedure.
Each player is responsible for ensuring that his or her scorecard is complete, accurate, and properly submitted.
The scorecard must contain the correct gross score for each hole and must be signed or certified according to the procedure announced by the Tournament Committee.
A player may be disqualified or penalized for submitting an incorrect, incomplete, unsigned, altered, or late scorecard, subject to the Rules of Golf and the decision of the Tournament Committee.
Players must comply with the Local Rules, dress code, pace-of-play policy, safety rules, and operating procedures of the host golf club.
The host club’s rules on golf carts, caddies, locker use, food and beverage, course etiquette, and player conduct shall form part of these Terms of Competition.
The Tournament Committee may issue a Notice to Players before each leg to clarify venue-specific rules and instructions.
All players are expected to maintain proper pace of play.
Players must keep up with the group in front and must follow marshal, starter, or Tournament Committee instructions.
The Tournament Committee may impose warnings, penalties, or other measures for unreasonable delay or repeated slow play.
This is an amateur golf event.
All players are expected to comply with the applicable Rules of Amateur Status. Any prizes, awards, vacation packages, travel packages, sponsored benefits, or other benefits shall be subject to amateur golf limitations and applicable tournament rules.
A player is responsible for ensuring that his or her participation and acceptance of any prize does not violate amateur status rules or other eligibility requirements.
If a player is concerned that accepting a prize may affect his or her amateur status, the player should seek guidance from the applicable golf association before accepting the prize.
All players are expected to conduct themselves with honesty, courtesy, sportsmanship, and respect toward fellow players, caddies, golf club personnel, tournament staff, and guests.
The following acts may result in warning, penalty, disqualification, suspension, or removal from the tour:
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse entry or continued participation to any player for valid cause.
The Tournament Committee, in coordination with the host golf club, may suspend, delay, shorten, cancel, or reschedule play due to weather, lightning, course conditions, safety concerns, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond the organizer’s control.
If a round is shortened, the Tournament Committee shall determine whether the scores will stand, whether the round will be resumed, or whether the leg will be rescheduled.
The decision of the Tournament Committee shall be final.
The Tournament Committee shall have full authority to implement these Terms of Competition, resolve disputes, interpret rules, determine penalties, validate scores, compute Peoria handicaps, award tournament points, determine winners, administer prizes, and decide all tournament-related matters.
The Tournament Committee may issue supplemental rules, notices, clarifications, and announcements before or during each leg.
All decisions of the Tournament Committee shall be final.
By registering and participating in the Asian Amateur Golf Tour: Road to Da Nang, each player confirms that he or she has read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms of Competition, the Rules of Golf, the Local Rules of the host club, and all instructions issued by the Tournament Committee.
