TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES AND CONDITION OF PLAY

REGISTRATION : 6:00AM – 7:30AM

TEE- OFF TIME : 8:00AM / SHOTGUN

FORMAT OF PLAY : MOLAVE SYSTEM

TEAM COMPOSE :

3 – Royal Northwoods members

3 – Non – Members

2 – Royal Northwoods members and 1 Non – member

2 – Non – Members and 1 RNGCI Member

Each team will comprise of 3 players; of which, 2 of the best scores will count. Two days (2) combine score.

Any act of slow play shall result to the following: first warning – no stroke penalty, second warning – with one stroke penalty to the player, third warning – with two stroke penalty to the player, and fourth warning –disqualification of the player for the day. Only the Tournament Committee may impose such penalties.

Winner is determined by the team with the lowest net / gross acquired.

Ties will be broken by the player that did not count for the second day. If the third player did not participate on the second day, that is considered as no score; therefore resulting in default for tiebreaker. If ties are still unbroken, the team shall select a representative, that representative will be subjected to comparing the best score of the last nine holes (starting point is at the 18^th hole regardless of the tee box). If the tying players have the same score for the last nine, determine the winner on the basis of the last six holes, last three holes and finally the 18^th hole. Cross scoring shall be in effect. No Mulligans and No Gimmees. USGA/R&A rules govern all play in conjunction with local rules.

Any rules infraction will be decided by the Tournament committee, rules committee is composed of the following personnel:

TVP, OM, Rodel Mangulabnan and Larry Tamayo

BLUE tee for	MEN
WHITE tee for	SENIOR ( 55 – 74 Yrs.old )
GREEN tee for	SUPER SENIOR ( 75 Yrs. Old & above )
RED tee for	Ladies

CLASSIFICATION

Handicap indexes are for classification purpose only. Each team shall be classified by the average of the two lowest handicap indexes. Maximum handicap index of 27.0.

All handicap indexes are subject for review by the Tournament Committee. The tournament committee is authorized to lower a player’s handicap as they see fit. No handicap Index submitted to the Committee results in a 0 handicap. In case where the player has multiple club memberships, the lowest handicap index would be used.

WHS handicap index as of January 2026 . All other handicap indexes with the exception of November – December 2025 are subject to a minimum deduction of four off the course handicap.

DIVISION I	Average handicap index 8.3 and below
DIVISION II	Average handicap index 8.4 to12.7
DIVISION III	Average handicap index 12.8 to 17.0
DIVISION IV	Average 17.1 to 27.0 maximun

TEE TIMES

Assigned hole will be given per team. Each team should assign a team captain that will dictate to his team members their flight schedules. Flight schedules are final and are not open for discussion. Any team member may represent tee assignment based on the given tee time.

TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE

Please follow these specific instructions for the tournament proper:

Drop your bag at the bag drop area and state your full name to the bag drop attendant.
Proceed to the front desk to get a passport and assign golf carts.
Register to confirm tee time at the front desk at least 30 minutes before shotgun starts and confirm with any golf operation staff for hole assignment.
Proceed to assigned hole before shotgun start.
Players are responsible for their actions and the actions of their caddies.
Players are responsible for the accuracy and the submission of their scorecards, once submitted to the committee, players may not make any alterations. You may submit the scorecards at the starter house.
Players are responsible for their own clubs, please count your clubs before the game (only a maximum of fourteen clubs are allowed) and when claiming golf bag.
Non-conforming drivers are not allowed and its use is subject to R&A / USGA.
Players will be governed by the Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and the local rules of the club. Question shall be settled by the Tournament Committee whose decision shall be final.The competiton shall be deemed closed when the trophy has been presented.

*Any violation of these requirements will result in no play.

RAFFLE :

Awarding of minor raffle starts at 3:00 pm on January 24, 2026. Presence required for all raffle prizes.

LOCAL RULES

If a ball is lost, lies or touches any part of the landscape area, a player may drop a ball at the nearest point of relief with one stroke penalty.
Hole number 5 from the tee, if the players ball failed to cross the margin of the water hazard . Player will automatic hit again at the tee box ( option to re-teed the ball ) with ( 1 ) one stroke penalty.
All GUR and cutted trees shall be marked with blue stakes and blue paint only, otherwise play your ball as it lies.
Bridges are considered part of the water hazard.
Hole numbers 5, 16, 17 and 18. Out of bounds lines drawn from cart path replaces out of bounds stakes. Please take note that the line itself is out of bounds, a ball is out of bounds when all of it lies out of bounds. In addition, a player can stand out of bounds when playing ball in bounds.
If a player’s ball rest on the greenside collar, the player may place his ball to the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole. The player may place his ball outside the green.
Hole no. 17 from the tee, If the player’s ball goes directly into the hazard and cannot be played, the player must drop the ball at the designated drop zone with (1) one stroke penalty.
Hole no. 8 from the tee. If the player’s ball slice and cross the margin of hazard went to hole no. 2. it will be considered as wrong fairway. The Player must drop the ball at the designated drop zone with (1) one stroke penalty.
When in doubt concerning any rules decisions, play the two-ball option for stroke play and request for a ruling from any golf operation staff.
