  4. Handicap strokes (strokes given) are applied to individual holes based on the Stroke Index (SI) / difficulty rating printed on the scorecard.

3. SCORING MATRIX

Points are awarded on each hole based on the player’s Net Score (Gross score minus any applicable handicap strokes on that hole).

4. PACE OF PLAY & PICK-UP RULE

To ensure an enjoyable pace of play for all participants:

  1. Once a player has reached a gross stroke count where they can no longer score a Net Bogey (1 point), they have reached a “net double bogey” threshold.
  2. The player MUST pick up their ball immediately.
  3. For that hole, the marker should record an “X” or a “0” on the scorecard. No penalty or disqualification applies for picking up under this format rule.

5. SCORECARD RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Each group will exchange scorecards prior to teeing off.
  2. The Marker is responsible for recording the competitor’s Gross Score on each hole.
  3. Both the competitor and the marker must sign the scorecard upon completion of the round before submitting it to the scoring committee.

6. TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURES

In the event of a tie for any podium or prize position, the winner will be determined using the standard Scorecard Countback System:

  1. Highest total points on the Back 9 (Holes 10–18).
  2. If still tied, highest total points on the Last 6 Holes (Holes 13–18).
  3. If still tied, highest total points on the Last 3 Holes (Holes 16–18).
  4. If still tied, highest total points on the 18th Hole.
  5. If a deadlock remains, a coin toss or sudden-death playoff will apply (at the Committee’s discretion).
