The tournament is exclusive to Mercedes-Benz owners, invited guests and tournament sponsors. The MercedesTrophy event is an all-amateur tournament. Professionals are not eligible to participate.
Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club, Talisay Batangas. Registration, Breakfast, Photo Op, Tournament giveaways distribution & sponsor side events will start at 7:00 AM.
The MercedesTrophy will have a “SHOTGUN START”. All players will play on the rotation of 1 to 18 (Class A, B, and C). Sponsors and guests will play on the second and third nine (9 to 18, and at the lucky nine). There will be no flight changes during the tournament proper. Ceremonial tee-off will be at 8:30 AM. Shotgun Start will be at exactly 9:00 AM. All players shall report to their designated holes at least 10 minutes before starting time. Complimentary Golf Carts are provided.
The tournament will be an 18-Hole Stroke Play Handicap competition. All pairings after the registration are final. Changes or alterations on flight compositions after the registration will not be allowed.
The scoring system to be applied for the tournament will be the Stableford System. This system of scoring is done by taking the course handicap of a player and distributing strokes to specific holes based on their difficulty. The following Stableford points are to be allowed based on the player’s net score on each hole:

Double eagle
Eagle
Birdie
Par
Bogey
6 points
5 points
4 points
3 points
2 points
1 point
The points are all added up to get the total Stableford score of the player.
Mercedes-Benz owners’ allowable maximum club certified handicap is 24. Players are required to submit their current certified handicap index from the WHS (World Handicap System) from their member golf club effective February 1, 2023. In case an MB player has no certified WHS handicap they will be given a “0” handicap.
In case of ties, the player with the lower handicap prevails. If a tie still exists, the player with more holes-in-one, double eagles, eagles, birdies, then pars will prevail. If a tie still should exist, a draw of lots will be used to determine the winner.
Gimmie putts are not allowed. ALL players MUST HOLE OUT. To help speed up play, pick-up on net-double bogey and mark an “X” on the scorecard.
The tournament will be governed by the Rules of Golf according to USGA and the Royal and Ancient Club of St. Andrews, and the applicable local rules of Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club

The 3 Division Champions together with one Country captain, will represent the Philippines in the 2023 World Finals to be held in Stuttgart Germany, on October 3 to 7, 2023.
In the event a winner is unable to join the World Finals his/her runner-up may be invited to take his/her place.
Handicap Certification will not be required in these divisions.
A Champion and Runner-Up will be declared for the Sponsor and Guest divisions.
PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT WIN MORE THAN ONCE ON “FUN” PRIZES SUCH AS HOLE-IN-ONE CHALLENGE, LONGEST DRIVE, NEAREST TO THE PIN OR THE LINE, ETC.
THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY PROVISION IN THE CONDITIONS OF PLAY AT ANY TIME IT DEEMS NECESSARY FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOURNAMENT. ALL DECISIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE SHALL BE FINAL AND BINDING. NO PROTEST OF ANY KIND WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
GREEN FEES, RANGE BALLS, GOLF CARTS, CADDIE FEES & TEE HOUSE SNACKS FOR PLAYERS ARE ALL COMPLIMENTS OF AUTO NATION GROUP AND ITS PARTNER SPONSORS.
AWARDS COCKTAILS AND EARLY DINNER RECEPTION WILL START RIGHT AFTER THE GAME. PRESENCE IS REQUIRED TO WIN PRIZES DURING THE AWARDS PRESENTATION.
Any applicable taxes shall be for the winners’ account.
