Tournament Details

Tagaytay Highlands International Golf Club, Inc. and Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club, Inc. wish to invite you to join the 2022 President’s Cup Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday to Sunday, December 03 and 04, 2022 at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Course. It will be open only to the first 344 participants. Deadline for registration will be on November 25, 2022 at 5:00pm.

Members, spouses, dependents and guests of members of both Tagaytay Highlands International Golf Club, Inc. and Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club, Inc. may join this tournament. The tournament is open only to amateurs.

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION GUIDELINES

Tournament reservation will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Tournament reservation forms will be made available on the announced date of registration.
A member is considered registered if he has submitted a filled out registration form. The tournament fee will automatically charged to members account ipon filling up of form. Reservation through phone call is not permitted. Submission of signed registration form is a must.
In the event that the maximum slots are reached, registering player/s will be placed in the waiting list.
A participant may cancel his participation on or before 5:00pm on November 25, 2022. A letter of cancellation to the Golf Director is required. Any form of verbal advice will not be accepted.
If a participant cancels after 5:00pm om November 25, 2022 he will be charged 50% of the tournament fee but he shall not be entitled to any of the incentives given to a participant. He may not give away or assign his slot. His slot will be given to the person who is in the priority of waiting list.
In case of a no show by participant, he/she shall be charge the tournament fee, However, he shall not entitled to all the incentives given to participant (i.e giveaways, food and chance to win in the raffle.

The tournament will be an 18-hole stroke play and will be scored using the Stableford format. The committee will compute the following stableford points corresponding to the player’s net scores per hole as follows.

Players need to submit their December 2022 official handicap index from UNHS. if a player has more than one index, the lower index should be submitted. For players who fail to submit their index or who do not have one, they will automatically be given a handicap of zero (0).

The tournament will be governed by the Rules of Golf of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and where applicable, the local rules of Tagaytay Midlands Golf Course. Registration will start at 5:15am for AM shotgun and 10:30am for PM shotgun on Saturday, December 3 while, 6:30am on Sunday, December 4. The tournament committee will determine the pairings in the flights.

Divisions will be classified based on the following:

The tournament committee reserves the right to review submitted handicap indices and to adjust the same should it be determined that the handicap index does not truly reflect the player’s golfing skills.

Ties will be settled by countback starting with holes 10 to 18 gross score nine hole gross score, last holes 13 to 18 gross score, and holes 16 to 18 gross score. If ties are still unresolved, it will further be settled by counting the most number of holes-in-one, double-eagles, eagles, birdies, pars and bogeys. If a tie is still unresolved, a toss of coin will be used to determine the winner.
