DATE: May 22, 23, 24 & 25 / Thu.-Fri.-Sat. and Sun.

PLAY SCHEDULE:

Shotgun start: 7:30am

Icklaus and Palmer courses

May 22 (thu.) and May 24 (sat.)

May 23 (fri.) and May 25 (sun.)

GENERAL:

All play shall be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the 2023 R & A Rules Limited, in conjunction with the Local Rules of Forest Hills Golf and Country Club.

ELIGIBILITY:

Principal members and spouses in good standing with established May 15, 2025 WHS indices, who sign up and pay the reservation fee, shall be accepted into the tournament. Dependent members also with established May 15, 2025 WHS indices are welcome to play. Maximum 2 players per membership account.

Members and guests of non-amateur status or Professional Golfer may join the Tournament but they are not eligible to win any awards and fun holes prizes.

ENTRY FEE:

Php 16,000.00 / member-guest team

GOLF CART:

Php 800.00 (sharing)

CADDIE FEE:

Php 600.00 minimum / round / player

PILIGAN:

Piligans (PHP 500/ player / round) are mandatory and must be paid at the Registration Desk before the start of each round. Each player has two (2) Piligan shots per round which can be used anytime and anywhere except on the putting greens. Player must declare to group-mates before using his/her Piligans. Piligans do not count for the hole-in-one and fun hole prizes.

REGISTRATION AND CONFIRMATION OF ENTRIES

Entries shall be confirmed only upon submission of a duly accomplished registration form and full payment of the applicable entry fees. Registration shall follow a first come, first served basis. Once the maximum number of entries is reached, a WAITING LIST will be established.

Completed entry forms, including the member’s signed authorization to charge the tournament entry fee to their club account, must be submitted via email to foresthillsgolf@gmail.com.

CANCELLATION:

Cancellation must be made in writing to the Tournament Committee or e-mail at foresthillsgolf@gmail.com. Cancellation without penalty will be accepted up to 5:00 PM of May 16, 2025, Friday, at full refund. No entry fee will be refunded after this date. Refunds will not be allowed once practice rounds have been used.

FORMAT:

36-hole Team Competition using the Modified Stableford Scoring System with handicap.

  1. Palmer – 18-Hole Net Four-Ball Modified Stableford Scoring System (best ball / better score). Better net points for the hole counts as team score.
    1. Maximum 44 points per team (8 under)
  2. Nicklaus18-hole Net Aggregate Modified Stableford Scoring System. Combined points of partners count as team score.

GIMME:

Any ball coming to rest within the 48” gimme circle (24” radius) is considered holed on the next stroke.

To speed up play, please pick up on NET DOUBLE BOGEY. (Maximum score per hole including penalties)

DIVISION:

Field will be divided into four divisions based on member’s Nicklaus handicap.

AWARDS:

Low Gross Champion

Over-all Champion (Team with highest net Stableford points)

Note: A team may win both the Low gross and Over-all Champion

Division Low Gross (Team with lowest gross per Division)

TIE-BREAKER:

Ties will be broken in favor of the team with:

  1. better Four-Ball 18-hole points total;
  2. better Four-Ball last 9-hole (hole 10-18) points total;
  3. better Four-Ball last 6-hole (hole 13-18) points total;
  4. better Four-Ball last 3-hole (hole 16-18) points total;
  5. better Four-Ball points count back starting the 18th hole.

HANDICAP:

Members:

  1. WHS Index as of May 15, 2025 converted to course handicap.
  2. Maximum allowable handicap for member is 36.
  3. Members without established WHS Index shall play with zero handicap.

MEMBER HANDICAP ADJUSTMENT:

  1. For players having a net score of 5 under par or less, there will be imposed a handicap adjustment of 2 less stokes for the player for the next club tournament/s for the calendar year.
  2. The handicap adjustment will be applied to the players’ NGAP/WHS handicap as of the next club tournament/s.
  3. This handicap adjustment is in addition to any handicap adjustments applied for previous tournaments during the year where the player posted a score of net 5 under par or less.

Guests:

      1. WHS index as of May 15, 2025 converted to designated course handicap.
      2. Maximum allowable handicap for guests is 18.
      3. Guest without established WHS Index shall play with zero handicap.
      4. Handicap indices must be submitted on or before 5:00pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025. If a guest fails to provide their handicap index by the deadline, they will be required to play scratch or zero handicap for the competition.

The Handicap Committee reserves the right to review and adjust handicaps before the tournament and to disqualify any player found in violation of handicap rules.

CHANGE OF PARTNER:

A member may change partners not later than 5:00pm, May 16, 2025, provided that the new partner meets the handicap requirements. Otherwise, the partner plays to a zero handicap.

PRACTICE ROUND:

Invited guests are entitled to UNLIMITED (starting May 2,2025) free practice rounds on weekdays upon full payment of the team’s entry fee. Should the guest elect to play his/her practice round on a weekend, the guest will then be allowed one (1) practice round per course.

No complimentary practice round will be given to a team in case of sudden change of partner if the original partner has played a practice round.

Guest must be accompanied by a member.

GROUPINGS & STARTING TIMES:

All players shall tee off simultaneously at 7:30 AM via shotgun start on both the Nicklaus Course and the Palmer Course. Players are required to be at their designated starting holes at least 10 minutes prior to the start of play.

Requests for specific pairings will not be entertained. All players must remain in the groupings assigned by the Tournament Committee throughout the round, unless a change is expressly approved by the Committee either before or after it occurs.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter groupings and starting assignments if such adjustments are deemed necessary for the smooth conduct and overall integrity of the tournament.

LATE TO TEE:

A player is late to tee if he/she is not present and ready to play at the starting time and starting point set by the Committee However, he/she will not be disqualified and will be allowed to join his/her assigned group on the tee of the next hole to be played. His/her score on the hole/s that he/she fails to play will be “X” or “zero points.

SPECIAL FUN HOLES:

All fun holes will have winners per tee box category. Overall winners will be awarded in the Most Accurate Drive and Nearest the Pin fun holes.

The following fun hole contests will be conducted daily from Day 1 to Day 4 of the tournament. Prizes will be awarded each day to the respective winners as indicated below:

Longest Drive – Nicklaus Hole 3
One (1) winner per teeing category:

  1. Men’s Tee
  2. Seniors’ Silver Tee
  3. Seniors’ White Tee
  4. Ladies’ Tee

Most Accurate Drive – Palmer Hole 1

Only one (1) winner will be recognized per day, regardless of the player’s teeing area.

Nearest to the Pin – Nicklaus Hole 13 and Palmer Hole 12

Only one (1) winner per hole per day, regardless of the player’s teeing area.

Please note: All players are to play from their designated teeing areas based on division or classification. Distinctions in teeing areas are acknowledged in the contest mechanics to ensure fairness and inclusivity.

Note:

  1. Ladies may opt to play from designated hole-in-one teeing area for a chance to win the hole-in-one prize/s. Otherwise, ladies that play from the ladies teeing area, not the designated hole-in-one teeing area, will forfeit their chance to win the assigned hole-in-one prize. A PhP 50,000 hole-in-one prize is up for grabs in all PAR 3’s for an ace made from the red teeing area.
  2. Seniors may opt to play from designated hole-in-one teeing area for a chance to win the hole-in-one prize/s. Otherwise, seniors that play from the white/silver teeing area, not the designated hole-in-one teeing area, will forfeit their chance to win the assigned hole-in-one prize. SCORECARDS:

Scorecards must be submitted no more than 30 minutes after completion of the final hole.

The marker is responsible for marking only the GROSS number of strokes per hole. Settle any doubtful points with the marker and/or Committee before signing the scorecard. Any alteration in scores on the scorecard must be clarified with the Scorers before the card is submitted. Scores not legibly written will be interpreted by the Committee at its discretion. Make sure the marker has signed the scorecard. The scorecard is submitted when it is dropped in the Drop Box provided for.

CLOSE OF COMPETITION:

The competition is closed when the result has been officially announced or awarded.

FORCE MAJEURE:

The Tournament Director reserves the right to halt play in case of unplayable conditions or inclement weather.

COMMITTEE:

The Rules Committee has the final decision on all questions on the Rules of Golf including course of action to be taken due to force majeure.

The Tournament Committee has the final decision on all matters and reserves the right to change the Tournament Rules and prizes prior to the start of the tournament.
