EAST & WEST COURSES

I. CONDITIONS OF PLAY:

Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the R & A of St. Andrews, in conjunction with the Local Rules of Wack Wack Golf & Country Club prevailing at the time of the tournament.

Any question on the tournament must be brought to the attention of the Rules Committee who’s decision shall be final.

II. EQUIPMENT:

The driver the player uses must have a club head identified by model and loft, that is named on a current list of conforming Driver Heads issued by R & A Rules limited.

Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of Rule 4-1 or 4-2: Disqualification.

III. FORMAT:

WEST COURSE   AGGREGATE (STABLEFORD)

EAST COURSE   BESTBALL (STABLEFORD)

STABLEFORD POINTS

The Committee will compute the Stableford Points corresponding to the player’s net scores as follows:

* Maximum score is 8 under per player (44 Points) –  AGGREGATE

* Maximum score is 8 under per team (44 Points) –  BEST BALL

 There will be an eighteen (20) inches gimme circle around the hole to speed up play.

IV. SCORING:

Each team shall serve as “marker” of the players from the other team in the same flight. The marker shall be responsible for recording the GROSS SCORES of the players. Both team members must sign their scorecards after making sure that their marker has signed the cards.

Players are reminded to:

Check their scores hole by hole and/or scorecard for accuracy.

Settle any doubtful score with the marker or the Rules Committee.

Make sure that the markers have signed the scorecard.

Return the scorecard to the Committee immediately after completing the round; Otherwise, it will be considered as “no score”

Penalty for breach of Rule 3 – 3b: Disqualification.

V. HANDICAP RULES:

The Wack Wack Member and their guest partner will be using the Lowest Handicap from January to February 2023.

Maximum handicap for the Wack Wack Member is 36 while maximum handicap for  Guests partner is 18 for Men and 24 for Ladies.

VI. CLASSIFICATION:

Teams will be classified based on the Wack Wack Member’s handicap. Teams will be classified into the following:

Group I   –  (Handicap 0-12)

Group II   –  (Handicap 13-24)

Group III   –  (Handicap 25 & ABOVE)

Seniors DIV. I  55-65 YEARS OLD (BOTH PARTNERS)

Seniors DIV. II  66 YEARS OLD & ABOVE (BOTH PARTNERS)

VII. TEE MARKERS:

Men  –  Blue Tee

Seniors  –   White Tee (Age 55 -69 yrs old &)

Super Seniors  – Orange Tee (Age 70 & above)

Ladies  –   Red Tee

VIII. WINNERS:

Trophies will be given to the following winners:

Overall Team Champion

Overall Team Low Gross

Groups I, II & III
Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up

SENIORS I & II Division
Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up

IX. TIES:

Ties shall be resolved in the following order:

Lower handicap team prevails;

If still tied, total gross score of last 9 holes (10 to 18 at the West Course);

If still tied, total gross score of last 6 holes (13 to 18 at the West Course);

If still tied, total gross score of last 3 holes (16 to 18 at the West Course);

If still tied, draw lots.

X. LOCAL RULES:

Distance Measuring Equipment

The use of distance measuring equipment without slope during the tournament will be ALLOWED.

Hole # 3 – West Course

For all balls that enter the water hazard on the front side of the green, the player may use the designated drop area as an additional option with 1 stroke penalty.

Hole # 7 – West Course

For all balls that enter the water hazard on the front side of the green, the player may use the designated drop area as an additional option with 1 stroke penalty.

Hole # 11 – East Course

For all balls that enter the water hazard on the front side of the green, the player may use the designated drop area as an additional option with 1 stroke penalty.

Hole # 13 – East Course

For all balls that enter the water hazard on the front side of the green, the player may use the designated drop area as an additional option with 1 stroke penalty.

PROTECTED AREAS

Play prohibited. Under penalty of ONE (1) stroke, proceed under Rule 26-1. the player may use the designated drop area with 1 stroke penalty.

XI. MULLIGANS:

It is compulsory for all players to purchase two (2) mulligans at PHP 500.00 each. Mulligans may be used one (1) on each nine (Holes 1-9 & 10-18)                     anywhere on the course except on the putting green. The player should announce if he is going to use his/her Mulligan, then PLACE his/her ball.

Provisional ball cannot be used as a Mulligan. Mulligans are not valid to win a Hole-in-One prize.

XII. CADDIE FEE—PHP 1000.00 MINIMUM

Please pay your caddie in cash immediately after your round.

XIII. RAFFLES PRIZES:

All participants are eligible to win raffle prizes. Physical presence is required to win raffle prizes.

XIV. TOURNAMENT GIVEAWAYS:

All participants shall receive Fenix Shirt as giveaways.

XV. TOURNAMENT REFEREE:

XVI. EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:

XVII. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES:

Ceremonial Tee-Off on March 6, 2023 (Monday) at 5:00 PM. Followed by a Cocktail Party at the Banquet A & B at 6:00PM.

Daily Cocktails from March 8 to 10, 2023 will be open to all participants at the Banquet A & B starting at 6:00 PM.

XVIII. AWARDS NIGHT:

Only participants are allowed in the awards night on March 11, 2023, 6:00PM  at the Bill Shaw Pavilion.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change/amend Rules, pairings and all matters related to the tournament. Its decision shall be final.
