Terms of Competition

I. ELIGIBILITY

  1. Open to all members (one MC number only) and their invited guests in good standing. All participants must be amateurs.

II. ENTRY FEE​

  1. Entry fee shall be Php 20,000 per team. Fees cover giveaways for each participant, green fees for guests, cocktails, lunch, dinner at the Awards Night and one practice round for the guest. Practice rounds are valid only on the designated dates before the tournament. Mulligan and caddie fees are not included in the entry fee and will be required to be paid per day at the registration.

III. FORMAT​

  1. 36- hole Stableford scoring systems with handicaps
  2. Stableford points will be determined as follows:

IV. MULLIGANS​

  1. • Mulligans are mandatory at Php 500 per playing day (2 per player), which can be used anywhere except on the putting green and not eligible for a Hole-in-One prize. Players must declare their intent to their flight mates before hitting a mulligan.

V. CADDIE FEE

  1. A minimum of Php 800.00 per round and must be paid immediately after the round.

VI. HANDICAPPING:

  1. Participants must have an established World Handicapping System (WHS) indices certified by National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP).
  2. All participants ‘s handicap index will be based as of December 16, 2023, shall be used for the tournament.
  3. Participants without any eligible WHS indices shall be subject to appropriate handicap reduction at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
  4. Maximum handicap for all participants shall be 36.

VII. SCORECARDS

  1. Each team shall serve as the marker of the opposing team in the flight.
  2. Markers must observe the following in scoring each hole:
    1. Record only the gross score; or
    2. Place an “X” in case of a pick-up or player did not hole out.
  3. Only official scorecards shall be accepted and must be duly signed by at least one member of the opposing team.
  4. Scorecards must be submitted within 15 minutes after completing the round. Scorecards not submitted on time shall be voided and the team shall be disqualified
    for the day.

VIII. SIZE OF FIELD and SCHEDULE

    1. Maximum of 744 players or 372 teams.

IX. CHANGE OF PARTNER

  1. Allowed not later than January 22, 2024.

X. TEES:

  1. Men 64 years old and below – Blue Tees
  2. Men 65 years old and above on or before February 3, 2024 – must play the White Tees
  3. Ladies – Red Tees

XI PACE OF PLAY

  1. Participants must pick up his ball if his next stroke is for a net double bogey or zero points.
  2. Each round must be completed within 4 hours and 30 minutes.
  3. Marshals and rulesmen are empowered to penalize a participant for slow play under
    the following guidelines set by the Tournament Committee:
    1. 1st offense – warning; participant placed on the clock.
    2. 2nd offense – 2-point team penalty
    3. 3rd offense – disqualification for the day

XII. CLASSIFICATION:

  1. There will be four (4) divisions based on the Member’s handicap. The divisions shall be proportionately divided based on the number of teams.
  2. There will be a separate tournament day for the sponsors and their guests.

XIII. WINNERS:

  1. Overall Low Net Team Champion
  2. Overall Low Gross Team Champion
  3. Division I, II, III & IV
    1. Net Champion
    2. Net Runner-up

XIII. TIES:

  1. Ties shall be resolved as follows:
    1. Most number team points on the 2nd round
    2. Most number of team points on last 9 holes, last 6 holes, 3 holes and 18th hole on 2nd round.
