I. CONDITIONS OF PLAY:

Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the R & A of St. Andrews, in conjunction with the Local Rules of Wack Wack Golf & Country Club prevailing at the time of the tournament. Any question on the tournament must be brought to the  attention of the Rules Committee who’s decision shall be final.

II. FORMAT:

WEST COURSE – BEST BALL (STABLEFORD)

EAST COURSE – AGGREGATE (STABLEFORD)

All players will play their own ball for the entire round for two days of competition please indicate your individual gross score for the best ball.

STABLEFORD POINTS

The Committee will compute the Stableford Points corresponding to the player’s net scores as follows:

  1. Maximum score is 8 under per player for Aggregate (44 Points)

There will be a twenty (20) inch gimme circle around the hole to speed up play.

Handicap Deduction Based on Player’s Score: 
4-7 under (40-43 Points)Minus 2 handicap for the 2nd day
8  under & above (44 Points)Minus 4 handicap for the 2nd day

PREFERRED LIES

A ball lying in the General Area may be lifted, cleaned, and placed within one (1) scorecard length not nearer to the hole, on the same condition, and not in a penalty area or on a putting green.

SCORING:

Each team shall serve as “marker” of the players from the other team in the same flight. The marker shall be responsible for recording the GROSS SCORES of the players. Both team members must sign their scorecards after making sure that their marker has signed the cards.

Players are reminded to:

  1. Check their scores hole by hole and/or scorecard for accuracy.

  2. Settle any doubtful score with the marker or the Rules Committee.

  3. Make sure that the markers have signed the scorecard.

  4. Return the scorecard to the Committee immediately after completing the round;   Otherwise, it will be considered as “no score”

  5. Penalty for breach of Rule 3 – 3b: Disqualification.

III. MANDATORY PICK-UP:

A player who is playing his next stroke for a double par must pick up his/her ball and stop play on that hole in the interest of fast play.

IV. HANDICAP RULES:

The Wack Wack Member and their guest partner will be using February 1, 2025 handicap.

Maximum handicap for the Wack Wack Members is 36 and maximum for  Guests is 18 for Men and 24 for Ladies.

V. CLASSIFICATION:

Teams will be classified based on the Wack Wack Member’s handicap. Teams will be classified into the following:

Group I (Handicap 0-12)
Group II (Handicap 13-24)
Group III (Handicap 25 & ABOVE)
Seniors D IV. I55-65 YEARS OLD (BOTH PARTNERS)
Seniors D IV. II66 YEARS OLD & ABOVE (BOTH PARTNERS)

VI. TEE MARKERS:

Super Seniors Orange Tee (Age 80 yrs old & above)

VII. WINNERS:

Trophies will be given to the following winners:

VIII. TIES:

Ties shall be resolved in the following order:

Lower handicap team prevails;
If still tied, total gross score of last 9 holes (10 to 18 at the East Course);
If still tied, total gross score of last 6 holes (13 to 18 at the East Course);
If still tied, total gross score of last 3 holes (16 to 18 at the East Course);
If still tied, draw lots.

IX. LOCAL RULES:

Distance Measuring Equipment

The use of distance measuring equipment without slope during the tournament will be ALLOWED.

For balls that enter the water hazard on the front side of the green at Holes # 3, #5 and # 7 on the West Course, and Holes # 11 and # 13 on the East Course, Players may use the designated drop area as an additional option, with a one stroke penalty.

X. MULLIGANS:

It is compulsory for all players to purchase two (2) mulligans at PHP 250.00 each. Mulligans may be used one (1) on each nine (Holes 1-9 & 10-18) anywhere on the course except on the putting green. The player should announce if he is going to use his/her Mulligan, then PLACE his/her ball. Provisional ball cannot be used as a Mulligan. Mulligans are not valid to win a Hole-in-One prize.

XI. CADDIE FEE - PHP 1,000 MINIMUM

Please pay your caddie in cash immediately after your round.

XII. RAFFLE PRIZES:

All participants are eligible to win raffle prizes. Physical presence is required to win raffle prizes.

XV. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES:

Daily Cocktails from March 12 to 14, 2025 will be open to all participants at the Bill Shaw Pavilion A starting at 6:00 PM.

Awards night. Only participants are allowed in the awards night on March 15, 2025, 6:00PM  at the Bill Shaw Pavilion.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change/amend Rules,  pairings and all matters related to the tournament. Its decision shall be final.
